A Caribbean Breakfast Worth Waking Up For
D'Nova Coffee Lounge opens soon with saltfish, johnny cakes and proper coffee from VR Coffee — open to guests and the neighborhood alike.

When BethsAida reopened under direct management, one thing kept coming up in conversation: breakfast. Not a tray of cellophane-wrapped pastries, but a real Caribbean morning plate, made with care and served somewhere you'd actually want to sit.
That is what D'Nova Coffee Lounge is for. Opening soon, D'Nova is a light-filled room off the lobby where the day begins slowly. Saltfish and johnny cakes, callaloo and eggs, plantain and fresh island fruit — the breakfasts we grew up on, done properly. And because no morning works without it, proper coffee, pulled to order in partnership with VR Coffee.
We're proud that the opening menu was developed with the students of NIPA, the National Institute for Professional Advancement. It felt right that a place built on community should open its kitchen alongside the next generation of island hospitality.
D'Nova is open to the public, not only to guests. If you live in Simpson Bay, consider it your new morning room. If you're staying with us, it's the first thing you'll smell when you come downstairs.
