Booking & Cancellation Terms
The terms that apply to every direct reservation at BethsAida — what's confirmed, what's payable when, and how to change or cancel. Read these before you book.
Last updated · 26 June 2026
A reservation contract is formed between you (the "Guest") and BethsAida Boutique Hotel & Conference Center (the "Hotel") when we issue a written booking confirmation by email containing a confirmation number. The reservation is held for you without any payment being taken. Until we issue the confirmation, displayed rates and availability are an invitation to treat, not an offer.
The Guest must be at least 18 years old and present a valid government-issued photo ID at check-in.
Rates are displayed in USD per room, per night, for the room type and occupancy you select. Unless stated otherwise, the following are added and shown before you confirm:
- Applicable Sint Maarten turnover tax and any government room or occupancy tax;
- A service charge, where applicable;
- Any optional extras you select (breakfast, airport transfer, conference add-ons).
The total shown at booking is the price that applies. Tax rates may change by law; for stays spanning a rate change, the rate in force on the stay date applies.
Most rate plans carry a two-night minimum stay. Where a minimum stay applies it is shown at the rate selection step, and reservations shorter than the minimum cannot be confirmed for that rate.
Because no payment is taken and no card details are held at the time of booking, you may cancel or amend your reservation free of charge at any time before arrival. There is no deposit to forfeit and no cancellation fee.
We simply ask that you let us know as soon as your plans change — by replying to your confirmation email, calling +1 721 586 1212, or emailing info@bethsaidasxm.com — so the room can be released for other guests.
Amendments (changes to dates, room type or guest count) are subject to live availability and the rates in force at the time of the change; the two-night minimum stay continues to apply.
If you do not arrive and have not contacted us, we cannot charge a fee, as no card is held on file. Repeated no-shows may, however, affect our ability to accept future direct bookings from the same Guest.
No payment is taken online and no card details are collected or stored when you book. Booking simply holds the room for you; the price you see is settled in person.
You pay in full at the front desk at check-in (or on check-out by arrangement), in USD, either on our card terminal — we accept major credit and debit cards — or in cash. Any card payment is taken on a card you present at the desk; we do not keep your card on file.
Check-in is from 3:00 PM; check-out is by 11:00 AM. Early check-in and late check-out are subject to availability and may carry a fee (typically half-day up to 18:00, full night after).
If you have not arrived by 23:59 on the arrival date and have not contacted us, the reservation may be treated as a no-show and the room released (see "Cancellations, amendments and no-shows" above).
- Quiet hours apply between 22:00 and 08:00 out of respect for other guests and neighbours.
- Smoking and vaping are not permitted inside the building, including guest rooms and balconies opening onto enclosed spaces. Where extra cleaning is needed as a result, a cleaning fee charged at cost may apply, settled at the front desk.
- Pets are not permitted, except for registered assistance animals.
- Parties and visitor gatherings in guest rooms are not permitted; common areas may be booked for events through our conference team.
- The Guest is responsible for damage caused to the room or to hotel property by the Guest, their party, or their visitors. The cost of repair or replacement, and any cleaning fee above, is payable at the front desk on departure — on a card you present or in cash. For parties booking multiple nights or rooms, a reasonable incidentals amount may be agreed at check-in.
Maximum occupancy is set per room type and shown at booking; exceeding it is a breach of these terms and may result in refusal of accommodation without refund. Cots and extra beds are subject to availability and may carry a fee.
BethsAida is a multi-level building. Guest rooms are on the first and second floors and are reached by stairs; there is no elevator. The conference centre and D'Nova lounge are step-free on the ground floor. Please read our Accessibility Statement before booking if you have mobility needs.
Sint Maarten is in the Atlantic hurricane belt (season runs 1 June to 30 November). Where a mandatory evacuation order, the closure of Princess Juliana International Airport (SXM), or a comparable government order makes a stay impossible:
- cancellations made before the start of the stay will receive a full refund or a date change at no charge, regardless of rate plan;
- for stays already in progress, unconsumed nights from the evacuation date will be refunded or credited;
- travel disruption that is not the result of such an order (personal illness, missed flights, weather that does not trigger an order) is not covered by this clause — we strongly recommend travel insurance.
Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events outside their reasonable control.
Reservations made through an online travel agency (OTA) such as Booking.com, Expedia, Hotels.com or Airbnb are governed primarily by the rate rules and cancellation policy displayed on that channel at the time of booking, together with the OTA's own terms of service. Modifications and cancellations for OTA bookings must be made through the channel you booked with — we cannot change them on your behalf. On-property house rules, taxes and incidentals policies in these terms still apply.
We aim to resolve concerns during your stay — please raise them at the front desk so we can act immediately. Unresolved complaints can be sent in writing to info@bethsaidasxm.com within 30 days of departure and we will respond within 14 days.
These Booking & Cancellation Terms are governed by the laws of Sint Maarten, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of First Instance of Sint Maarten.
